Marketplaces bury handmade work in clutter and fees, and a solo maker has no room for payment-gateway ops, order dashboards, or support tooling. The craft deserved premium presentation; the business needed near-zero operational overhead.
Design the funnel around how the business actually runs. An RSC-first Next.js storefront serves a Firestore catalogue with Cloudinary imagery; checkout deliberately has no payment gateway — it records purchase intent as a lead with a human-readable order reference (AC-YYYYMMDD-XXXX) and hands off to a prefilled WhatsApp chat, where UPI payment and fulfilment happen in conversation.
