Cluey Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Kyron Infotech (“we”, “us”), Renown Shafalya, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380058, India, for your use of the Cluey app. By downloading or using Cluey you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Cluey.

How we handle information is explained in the Cluey Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Cluey. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Cluey for your own non-commercial entertainment, on devices you own or control, as allowed by the store you downloaded it from.

Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Google or Google Play Games, your use of that account is also governed by Google’s terms, and you are responsible for keeping it secure. One account is for one person.

You can delete your account at any time, as described on Delete your Cluey account. We may suspend or delete an account that is used to break these terms, for example by cheating on leaderboards.

• copy, sell, rent or redistribute Cluey, its puzzles, cases, artwork, sounds or text
• scrape, download in bulk or republish the puzzle bank or our servers’ contents
• decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it despite this restriction
• use bots, scripts or modified versions of the app to play, or to change stats, streaks or ranks
• interfere with, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to our servers
• use Cluey in any way that breaks the law

New puzzles are released at midnight in your local time, and a day’s puzzle does not change once that day has started. We may add, change, pause or retire games, cases and features at any time. Some features, such as older days in the Archive, may need an optional action to unlock, as shown in the app.

We work to make every puzzle fair and solvable, but we do not promise that every puzzle, clue or case is free of mistakes, or that new content will be available every day.

Your progress, streaks, stats, ranks, commendations and case files are stored on your phone. If you sign in, they are also saved to your account so you can restore them on another phone. If you play without signing in, they are lost if you delete the app, clear its storage or change phones, unless your phone’s own backup restores them, and we cannot recover them for you. Deleting your account deletes the progress saved to it.

Streaks, ranks, commendations and case files are part of the game. They have no monetary value and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged.

You are welcome to share the result cards Cluey makes, for personal and non-commercial purposes. As a courtesy to other players, please do not post answers or the culprit before the day or the week is over.

Cluey, Ky, the puzzles, Case of the Week stories, artwork, sounds, text and software are owned by Kyron Infotech or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms do not give you any right to our names, logos or characters. Third-party components inside the app are used under their own licences.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.

Reminders are optional. You can turn each one off in Cluey’s settings, or turn off notifications for Cluey in your phone’s settings.

Cluey currently has no ads and no in-app purchases. If we add them, they will be described here and in the Privacy Policy before the version that includes them is released. Any purchase would be processed by Google Play or the App Store under their terms, including their refund policies, and the price would be shown before you buy.

We may update Cluey, ask you to install an update to keep playing, or stop offering it. We do not promise to support every device or operating system version.

To the extent the law allows, Cluey is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that your progress will be preserved. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law, including under India’s Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data or progress, arising from your use of Cluey. Our total liability to you for any claim about Cluey is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Cluey in the 12 months before the claim and ₹1,000.

You can stop using Cluey at any time by uninstalling it and, if you signed in, deleting your account. We may suspend or end your licence, and your account, if you break these terms. The sections on what is ours, the disclaimer, limitation of liability and governing law continue to apply after these terms end.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, mention them in the app’s release notes. If you keep using Cluey after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.

If you downloaded Cluey from Google Play, Google Play’s terms of service also apply to your download.

If you downloaded Cluey from Apple’s App Store, you and we agree that:

• these terms are between you and Kyron Infotech, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are responsible for Cluey and its content
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Cluey
• if Cluey fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund any purchase price you paid for it; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Cluey
• we, not Apple, are responsible for any claims about Cluey, including product liability, failure to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection and privacy claims
• we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving any claim that Cluey infringes someone else’s intellectual property
• you confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, please write to us first at info.kyroninfotech@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it within 30 days. Failing that, the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
