Problem
A daily puzzle app lives on two things: a puzzle that is fair and worth solving every single day, and a reason to come back the next one. Generating puzzles on the phone is cheap but uneven, and hand-making every day does not scale.
Approach
A hybrid puzzle bank. Puzzles are generated ahead of time with the same engines the app runs, scored against a weekday curve (Monday easy, Saturday hardest), checked by validators, and published to Firestore, with any day open to a hand edit. The app reads Firestore, then its cache, then a bundled bank, then its own generator, so a day always plays offline. A weekly case ties the days together: each solved day unlocks one clue, and a fairness checker proves the culprit can be deduced from the six clues before a case ships.
Outcome
In development. All four launch games (Tilt, Liar’s Grid, Crossle and Cipher), the puzzle pipeline, Case of the Week, streaks, the archive, stats, reminders and a light theme are built, with accessibility and golden tests and a cold start under a second. Monetisation, the admin app and the store release are the remaining work.
Who it is for
People who already keep a daily puzzle habit and want one that rewards coming back tomorrow, without an ad breaking the puzzle they are halfway through.
